J&B Violet Program (Boarding School Admissions)“A Personality That Shines In Boarding School Applications” Highlights: J&B worked with the client to edit their Standard Online Application (SAO) essays and supplemental essays to elite boarding schools, Hotchkiss, Choate Rosemary Hall, St. Paul's, The Loomis Chaffee and Phillips Andover. As the client is an extroverted, enthusiastic, and independent writer, J&B tailored their consulting process to highlight the client’s autonomy while also offering its consulting expertise. The J&B team offered a series of edits and revisions which the client incorporated into their own language, and J&B polished with a final set of feedback to meet their quality standards. Case:The J&B consulting team helped the client edit their admissions essays to top-tier private boarding schools, Hotchkiss, Choate Rosemary Hall, St. Paul's, The Loomis Chaffee and Phillips Andover. The team also worked with the client to polish their Standard Online Application (SAO) essays. Background:The client is an extroverted, enthusiastic, and interdisciplinary learner interested in bettering their community. The J&B team engaged in a thorough consulting process with the client in order to edit/revise their essays and highlight their unique personality strengths and interests, all while meeting J&B’s high-quality essay standards. The Process:At the start of the project, the client independently developed content for their supplemental essays and SAO essays. The J&B team discussed the strengths and weaknesses of each essay in detail with the client, then offered a series of revisions to make their essays stand out. J&B addressed the project with goals of: 1) making sure the content addressed each prompt uniquely, 2) emphasizing the client’s outstanding personality, and 3) polishing the grammar/spelling. After the client received J&B’s edits, they incorporated them into their own words and language, which J&B polished and then offered a set of final feedback to go with their edits. As the client is a strong, independent writer, J&B’s consulting process was tailored to support the client’s autonomy, while also offering its expertise.
