J&B Blue Program (ISSCY)“Preparing For a Future Career: Writing a Research Paper for ISSCY” Highlights: J&B worked with the client to produce a 500-word research paper proposal and a 2,500-word research paper to submit to the ISSCY competition. J&B helped the client select a topic that was relevant to their future career in law, and split the project into four steps to support the client. The client produced a research paper proposal draft and a research paper draft, which the J&B team carefully edited and polished. To help the client fine-tune their analyses, the J&B team produced a series of careful revisions that highlighted the relevance of the client’s research to their thesis. At the end of the project, J&B and the client were satisfied with their results. The Topic:J&B helped the client produce a 500-word research paper proposal and a 2,500-word research paper for the ISSCY competition, exploring a current events topic relevant to the client’s desired career in law. The Process:J&B worked in a two-person team and split the project into four steps. At the beginning of the project, the J&B team held a pre-consulting session with the client to determine their potential areas of research. After providing the client with several sample topics, the client selected the topic that aligned with their interests most and would be relevant to their future studies. J&B then prepared a detailed outline for the client’s research paper as well as an outline template for their research paper proposal. The client utilized the template for the first draft of their research paper proposal, which J&B edited and polished for the client. The client then completed the first draft of their research paper, which the J&B team carefully revised to meet the standards of the ISSCY competition. Writing Style:As the client was comfortable with in-depth research but shared their challenges in writing analyses with the team, J&B carefully revised the client’s final research paper draft to help the client highlight the relevance of their research and data as it related to their thesis. J&B also assisted the client with paraphrasing their sources and retaining only the most relevant research to avoid overly wordy sentences. At the end of the editing stages, J&B and the client were mutually satisfied with the project’s final results. As ISSCY seeks deeply researched papers, the J&B team provided the client with thirty scholarly sources to help them identify key issues surrounding their topic. During the writing and editing stages of the project, J&B was careful to balance the client’s independence as a writer with a strong support system, in order for the client’s research to come across as exceptionally as possible.
