J&B Blue Program (Harvard International Review)“Linking Technology and Human Rights for HIR” Highlights: J&B worked with the client on a 1,100-word article for the Harvard International Review (HIR) addressing the theme: “Technological Advancement and the World.” J&B split the project into ten steps including: brainstorming, topic selection, a lecture, a reading period, a seminar, an outline stage, writing process, editing, and evaluation. To help the client capture their audience, the team worked closely with the client on analyzing relevant scholarly sources and creating a strong narrative with a critical tone. The Topic:J&B worked with the client on a 1,100-word article for the Harvard International Review (HIR) addressing the theme: “Technological Advancement and the World.” The Process:J&B worked in a two-person team and split the project into ten steps. To begin the project, the team met with the client to brainstorm potential topics for HIR. After the session, J&B prepared three topics for the client, which they reviewed. Based on the client’s feedback, J&B created an additional topic for the client which appealed to them. Next, the team conducted a 40-minute lecture with the client and shared ten scholarly sources to expand their working knowledge of their topic. J&B also conducted a seminar session to discuss the readings in detail. To begin the writing process, J&B produced a detailed outline for the client, which they used to create their first draft. Once the client wrote their first draft, the team edited and revised it. Based on J&B’s feedback, the client worked on their last, final draft, which the team polished. J&B completed the project with an evaluation of the client’s writing. Writing Style:The client is a detail-oriented writer passionate about human rights and civil justice. To help the client capture their audience, the team worked closely with the client on analyzing relevant scholarly sources and creating a strong narrative with a critical tone. The team also assisted the client with paragraph breaks, paraphrasing, re-arranging topic sentences, and ensuring that their paper adhered to the HIR submission guidelines.
