The J&B team engaged in a brainstorming session with the client to gather ideas, shared reading materials with background knowledge, prepared a detailed outline, and edited and revised the client’s two drafts. The team made sure the client’s essay offered multiple perspectives and historical accuracy, addressed the historical significance of their topic, and had a strong historical argument. The client’s topic addressed a major diplomatic issue in S history. The Process:At the start of the project, J&B met with the client in a brainstorming session to gather ideas for their essay topic. After the client finalized the scope of their topic, J&B provided several reading materials to share background knowledge with the client. Next, the team prepared a detailed, eight-page outline with the client which they used to write their first draft. After gathering notes and goals from the client regarding their first draft, the team provided a series of edits, revisions, and suggestions to help the client improve their draft. The client utilized J&B’s edits to update their draft while simultaneously working on their process paper addressing how they chose their topic and how they conducted their research. The team then edited and polished the client’s final draft, process paper, and annotated bibliography so that it would be ready for submission. Writing Style:As National History Day asks students to conduct in-depth research on their historical topic, the team helped the client carefully select relevant, scholarly articles that would provide them with a nuanced perspective of their topic.
