J&B Blue Program (JSR)“Tackling a Humanitarian Crisis for JSR” Highlights: J&B helped the client prepare a 2,*00-word research paper for the Journal of Student Research (JSR) exploring educational and humanitarian crises. To help the client meet their goals for this project, J&B assisted the client with selecting scholarly sources and incorporating analyses into their research to comprehensively address their research questions. As the client hopes to major in International Relations in college, JSR was an ideal publication for the client and a chance to boost their academic resume. The Topic:J&B helped the client prepare a 2,*00-word research paper for the Journal of Student Research (JSR) exploring educational and humanitarian crises. The Process:At the start of the project, the J&B team met with the client to conduct a brainstorming session. After the client shared potential topics that interested them, J&B prepared three topic suggestions for the client. Once the client selected their topic, the team shared a 40-minute lecture and 10 scholarly sources to provide the client with a deeper understanding of their topic. Afterward, J&B and the client met to conduct a seminar session and discuss the readings in detail. Next, the team shared a 12-page outline with the client to help them write their first draft. After the client shared their first draft, J&B edited and revised it to help the client work on their second draft. The team then polished the client’s second draft and assisted them with formatting their paper according to JSR guidelines. Writing Style:The client is a thoughtful, passionate writer deeply concerned with humanitarian issues. To help the client meet their goals for this project, J&B assisted the client with selecting scholarly sources and incorporating analyses into their research to comprehensively address their research questions. The J&B team also worked with the client on refining their paraphrasing and formatting their abstract. J&B’s Key Goals: Scholarly research Analyses Critical thought Inquiry-based learning Journal Selection Process:As the client hopes to major in International Relations in college, JSR, which publishes papers ranging from the hard sciences to social sciences, was an ideal publication for the client. The flexibility it allows students while selecting their topics gave the client the opportunity to select an international issue that they are passionate about and engage in in-depth research. As the client is applying for college, writing a paper for JSR was an accomplishment they could add to their academic resume, boosting their qualifications.
