J&B Blue Program (Indepedent Research)“How to Become a Scholar in the Field You Love” Highlights: J&B worked with the client to create a 5,*00-word independent research paper on second language acquisition in refugee children, helping the client conduct primary and secondary research. J&B broke the outlining process into stages, assisted the client with preparing survey questions, and polished the entirety of the client’s drafts to ensure that their paper was as clear, well-developed, and innovative as possible. Throughout the writing process, J&B worked with the client on paraphrasing, while actively revising to create an informative, academic tone throughout the research paper. The Topic:J&B collaborated with the client to create a 5,*00-word independent research paper on second language acquisition in refugee children. J&B guided the client in conducting both primary and secondary research for their paper. The Process:At the start of the project, J&B met with the client and conducted a brainstorming session to help identify a viable research topic. As the client initiated the project with the goal of researching second language acquisition and trauma, the J&B team helped the client narrow down a hypothesis, demographic, and research questions for their study. J&B then shared ten relevant scholarly sources to broaden the client’s preliminary knowledge. Next, the team prepared an initial outline for the client, consisting of an introduction, a literature review section, and scholarly sources, which the client utilized to prepare their introduction. J&B also helped the client prepare fifteen survey questions for the client’s primary research. After the team edited the client’s introduction, they shared an additional outline for the client’s results, discussion, and conclusion sections. After completing their primary research, the client used the second outline to write their second draft, which J&B edited carefully. J&B then polished the entirety of the client’s research paper to ensure that it was as clear, well-developed, and innovative as possible. At the end of the project, the client wrote their abstract, which J&B edited and revised accordingly. Writing Style:The client is a research-oriented writer, who thrives on dissecting source material. To ensure that the client’s literature review was relevant to their primary research, J&B helped the client find additional journal articles to include that analyzed her demographic. Throughout the writing process, J&B helped the client with paraphrasing, while actively revising to create an informative, academic tone throughout the research paper. J&B’s Key Goals: Primary research Secondary research Collaboration Structure and guidance Journal Selection Process:Before starting this project, the client conducted volunteer work that sparked their interest in second language acquisition and trauma in refugee children. To help the client contribute to a field of knowledge they were actively involved in, J&B suggested that the client create an independent study paper and develop their skills as a researcher in the process. As the client is passionate about the social sciences, completing their research paper was a huge accomplishment—it meant that they became a scholar in a field they loved.
