J&B Blue Program (Concord Review)“A Social Scientist Studies for the Concord Review” Highlights: J&B worked with the client on an *,000-word history paper for the Concord Review on a topic exploring race. To help the client expand the areas of their research that interested them the most, J&B worked closely with the client on locating additional scholarly sources and incorporating them into their final draft. By the end of the project, the client was more confident about the process of writing and editing a lengthy, *,000-word paper—one of the longest they have worked on. The Topic:J&B worked with the client on an *,000-word history paper for the Concord Review on a topic exploring race. The Process:At the start of the project, J&B met with the client to conduct a brainstorming session and gather potential ideas for the Concord Review. After the session, the J&B team shared three topic suggestions for the client based on their discussion. Once the client chose their ideal topic, J&B prepared a 40-minute lecture and shared 10 scholarly sources with the client to broaden their topic knowledge. J&B and the client then met for a seminar session to discuss the readings in more detail. Next, the team prepared a detailed, 24-page outline for the client to help them write their first draft. Once the client finished the first draf of their introductiont, J&B edited it. Next, the client worked on their body section. J&B edited it and added additional, mini-outlines to the draft to assist the client in boosting their word count. After the client produced their final draft with their conclusion based on J&B’s guidance, the team edited and polished it so that it would be ready to submit to the Concord Review. Writing Style:The client is an introspective writer highly interested in the nuances of their topic. To help the client expand the areas of their research that interested them the most, J&B worked closely with the client on locating additional scholarly sources and incorporating them into their final draft. J&B also assisted the client with paraphrasing and thesis construction. Since the open-ended nature of the Concord Review allows students to come up with their own topics, J&B was confident that the client could select a highly unique yet historical topic that would address their academic interests. By the end of the project, the client was more confident about the process of writing and editing a lengthy, 8,000-word paper—one of the longest they have worked on.
