J&B Red Program (College Admission)“Independence, Biology, and Medicine at Columbia” Highlights: The J&B team worked with the client on crafting a 650-word Common App essay and five supplemental essays for an admissions project to Columbia University. J&B worked in a two-person team and split the project into four stages. J&B infused the client’s essays with personal details and insights from the client to highlight their academic curiosity, humanitarian goals, and independence. J&B conducted research with the client through a 10-part questionnaire and provided the client with a series of outlines based on the details gathered. After the client wrote their first draft, J&B polished and revised their final essays to the client’s overall satisfaction. Case:J&B consulted the client on a Common App essay and admissions essays for Columbia University. At the end of the project, the client completed a 650-word Common App essay and five supplemental essays. Background:The client was a talented writer with a passion for research. As the client had a strong interest in biology and goals of working in medicine or biotech fields, J&B worked to creatively infuse the client’s essays with their interests and career objectives. The client wanted to highlight their academic curiosity, humanitarian goals, and independence in their application. For their Common App, J&B gathered personal details from the client and framed them in a compelling personal essay that highlighted their stand-out qualities.
