The Process:J&B worked in a three-person team and split the project into seven main steps. At the start of the project, the team met with the client to brainstorm potential countries and topics the client might be interested in. To help the client finalize their ideas, J&B shared five relevant reading materials with the client, which provided them with background knowledge on their topic. Next, the team prepared a detailed outline for the client consisting of scholarly sources to help them write their first draft. After the client prepared their first draft, the J&B team carefully edited it and shared suggestions for improvement with the client. The team also presented the client with a series of questions to guide them when writing their process paper. The client used J&B’s guidance to write the second draft of their essay as well as their process paper, which explained how they chose their topic and conducted their research. Finally, J&B reviewed the client’s final essay and process paper and polished them so that they would be ready for submission well before the National History Day’s due date.
