J&B Red Program (Common App)“College Applications for a Creative Poet with a Passion for Economics ” Highlights: The J&B team worked with the client to prepare their college resume, Common App essay, and supplemental essays for Dartmouth, UChicago, and MIT. J&B worked closely with the client to highlight their well-roundedness as possible English and Economics majors. The J&B conducted two thorough pre-consulting sessions with the client, prepared a series of detailed outlines for each school prompt, and edited and revised their drafts to help them stand out as a creative and dynamic applicant. Case:J&B consulted with the client to help them prepare their college resume, Common App essay, and supplemental essays for the top-tier schools: Dartmouth, UChicago, and MIT. Background:The client is a talented writer with a passion for poetry, creative non-fiction, philosophy, and economics. The J&B team worked closely with the client to express and highlight their multiple, well-rounded traits as a potential English and Economics major. The Process:At the start of the project, the J&B team conducted two pre-consulting sessions with the client to “get to know them” thoroughly. In addition to exploring the client’s academic interests, background, and unique personality traits, the team went over each supplemental prompt for the client’s schools to gather their ideas and goals. The team then prepared a series of outlines for each prompt, breaking down the essays sentence-by-sentence based on the pre-consulting sessions. The client used the outlines to prepare the first drafts of their Common App and supplemental essays, which J&B actively edited and revised to help the client stand out as a creative, dynamic applicant. The team went over the client’s current resume and helped them edit it, fleshing out key details that showcased their unique strengths. At the end of the project, the J&B team helped the client put the finishing touches on their supplemental essays so that the client could meet their deadlines in a timely fashion.
