J&B Blue Program (John Locke)“A Passionate Political Critique for John Locke” Highlights: J&B consulted with the client on a 1,*50-word essay for the John Locke Essay Competition addressing the Politics prompt: “Do the results of elections express the will of the people?” J&B split the project into the following steps: ideation and brainstorming, topic selection, a lecture, seminar, and outlining stage, essay writing, and editing and revision. As the client is an analytical writer with a passion for politics and international relations, J&B worked closely with the client to ensure that they represented their ideas as clearly as possible in their essay. The Topic:J&B consulted with the client on a 1,*50-word essay for the John Locke Essay Competition addressing the Politics prompt: “Do the results of elections express the will of the people?” The Process:At the start of the project, J&B met with the client to brainstorm ideas for potential essay prompts. As the client was interested in three prompts, J&B shared relevant articles related to the prompts with the client to help them decide which suited them best. Once the client selected the prompt they liked the most, J&B shared a lecture and 10 scholarly sources with the client to give them background knowledge on their topic. Next, the team conducted a seminar session with the client to debate and discuss 3 of the scholarly sources in more detail. To begin the writing process, J&B shared a 9-page outline with the client to help them write their first draft. After the client shared their first draft with J&B, the team heavily edited and revised it and return the draft to the client with suggestions. The client followed J&B’s guidance while writing their second draft, which they then shared with some of their professors for additional review. The team reviewed the professors’ notes and incorporated relevant feedback into the client’s final, polished draft. Writing Style:As the client is an analytical writer with a passion for politics and international relations, J&B worked closely with the client to ensure that they represented their ideas as clearly as possible in their essay. The team worked with the client on paraphrasing, adding extra scholarly sources, elaborating on key ideas, and formulating a strong counterclaim and a reply to any additional objections.
