J&B Red Program (Letter of Continued Interest)“An Entrepreneur that Stands Out: A Letter of Continued Interest for UChicago” Highlights: J&B consulted with the client on their letter of continued interest to UChicago. J&B worked closely with the client to ensure that all of their recent accomplishments were captured in their letter of continued interest in a passionate, compelling manner. The team consulted with the client on the tone and direction they wanted to take their letter in to present themselves as a candidate who is not only suitable for UChicago, but one the UChicago community would benefit from having. Case:J&B consulted with the client on their letter of continued interest to UChicago. Background:The client originally applied to UChicago as a Business Economics major. Since applying to UChicago, the client has devoted time to working on several projects related to their field of interest. They created a unique entrepreneurial venture which they hope to turn into a start-up at UChicago, they wrote and self-published a book educating teens on financial literacy, and they have been planning future research endeavors they aim to partake in at UChicago. J&B worked closely with the client to ensure that all of their recent accomplishments were captured in their letter of continued interest in a passionate, compelling manner. The Process:At the start of the project, the J&B team checked in with the client to gather information about their recent projects and academic goals. J&B also consulted with the client on the tone and direction they wanted to take their letter in to present themselves as a candidate who is not only suitable for UChicago, but one the UChicago community would benefit from having. J&B then helped the client prepare their letter of continued interest, working closely with the client in a two-person team to ensure that the client’s letter expressed their goals and represented them in a unique way.
