After carefully examining the client’s materials, J&B helped the client organize their concepts, ideas, and motivations into an introductory letter and 100 to 200-word statements that described each art piece in concise detail. Throughout the project, the team worked with the client on identifying key themes that were prevalent throughout multiple pieces of artwork, while highlighting the client’s interests and passions as an artist. The Topic:J&B worked with the client to prepare an art portfolio complete with an introductory letter, ten pieces of artwork, and artist statements accompanying each piece. The client submitted their art portfolio along with their college applications to competitive universities, including Columbia. The Process:At the start of the project, the client shared nine pieces of artwork with descriptions of their process/intentions for creating each piece. After carefully examining the client’s materials, J&B helped the client organize their concepts, ideas, and motivations into an introductory letter and 100 to 200-word statements that described each art piece in concise detail. J&B also assisted the client with formatting their portfolio so that it met their presentation standards. After reviewing the first draft of their portfolio, the client returned it to J&B with feedback, which the team incorporated into a final draft. To complete the project, the client added another piece of artwork and sent their revised art portfolio to J&B for polishing and to ensure it met the word count restrictions for Columbia’s submission guidelines.
