Highlights: J&B assisted the client with preparing a 40-page writing portfolio, including a cover letter and detailed abstracts to accompany each piece of writing. The team broke the project down into an assessment phase, formatting period, writing and editing stage, and polishing. The team aimed for the client’s cover letter to incorporate their personal connection to the key issues addressed in each essay. The Topic: J&B assisted the client with preparing a 40-page writing portfolio, including a cover letter summarizing the client’s goals and perspective as a writer, as well as detailed abstracts to accompany each piece of writing. The Process: At the start of the project, the client shared five of their favorite essays. The team carefully reviewed each essay and selected four that highlighted the client’s diverse skillsets as a writer. After assessing the underlying themes/goals connecting each essay, J&B helped the client come up with a unique cover letter that addressed the intentions of each essay. J&B then helped the client format their writing portfolio by organizing their essays in a logical and coherent sequence and adding a table of contents to guide the readers. Finally, J&B worked with the client to prepare abstracts for each essay that highlighted the background, approach, and thesis of each work. Writing Style: The client is an eloquent writer passionate about women’s rights and gender equality, so the team aimed for the client’s cover letter to incorporate their personal connection to the key issues addressed in each essay.
