Highlights: J&B worked with the client on a 1,400-word essay for the Columbia Law Review. The J&B team organized the project into a brainstorming phase, initial research, lecture, outlining process, draft writing, and edits. To help the client understand the nature of preparing a law review, the team worked with the client on supporting their analyses with relevant legal precedents and furthering their critical analyses by relating them to current issues the law faces today. The Topic: J&B worked with the client on a 1,400-word essay for the Columbia Law Review. The Process: To begin the project, J&B met with the client to brainstorm ideas and review the requirements for the Columbia Law Review. To help the client finalize their ideas, J&B shared details of relevant court cases related to the client’s interests to further their background knowledge. The J&B team then prepared a 40-minute lecture and shared 10 scholarly sources to provide the client with in-depth knowledge of the legal background surrounding their topic. To help the client begin writing, J&B shared a detailed, 10-page outline complete with references to support the client’s writing process. Utilizing J&B’s outline as a guide, the client shared their rough draft, which the team carefully reviewed and returned with comprehensive edits so that the client would be able to submit it in a timely, organized fashion.
