J&B Red Program (US-Undergraduate)“Stories of Resilience in Undergraduate Admissions” Highlights: The client worked with J&B on an admissions project to Johns Hopkins, Emory, University of Virginia, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, Wake Forest University, University of Florida, Virginia Tech, University of Pittsburgh, NYU, George Washington, Columbia, University of Maryland, and William and Mary. J&B split the process into a series of three-step projects to target each school specifically. During the project, J&B captured the client's interest in physical therapy, human anatomy, and biology, translating their personal experiences and insights into over thirty 100 to 650-word essays. J&B and the client worked collaboratively over Zoom to edit and revise the client’s essays while adhering carefully to each of the client’s deadlines. At the end of the project, the client was extremely satisfied with their final products. Case:J&B worked with the client on a large-scale, undergraduate admissions project to the following schools: Johns Hopkins, Emory, University of Virginia, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, Wake Forest University, University of Florida, Virginia Tech, University of Pittsburgh, NYU, George Washington, Columbia, University of Maryland, and William and Mary. J&B worked with the client to complete all supplementary essays as well as a Common App essay, capturing the client’s interest in physical therapy, human anatomy, and biology within the spirit of academic inquiry. Background:J&B utilized the client's interest in biological systems and the resilience of the human body to guide the narrative of their essays. The client displayed a strong background in community activism rooted in mental health awareness, environmentalism, and veteran empowerment, which J&B creatively incorporated into their essays. J&B helped the client draw from their personal experiences to create over thirty 100 to 650-word essays that expressed the client’s passion for biological systems, mitigating pain, and their long-term goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. J&B worked carefully to synthesize the client’s multiplicity in revealing personal essays. The Process:J&B worked on a three-person team with the client on multiple, three-step projects that addressed the client’s comprehensive list of schools. J&B worked with the client to gather personal narratives and insights, helping the client transform their experiences into essay form using a process of editing and revising based on the client’s goals and feedback, shared over Zoom. Throughout the project, the client hoped to merge creative writing with self-expression, which J&B helped the client translate into a series of essays that captured the client’s goals. At the end of the project, the client completed their Common App and supplementary essays in advance of their deadlines and was extremely satisfied with their results.
