J&B Brown Program (Dissertation)“A Creative MFA Thesis Merging Art, Language, and Culture” Highlights: J&B worked with the client on a 5,500-word MFA thesis addressing the interconnectivity of cultural traditions and the client’s installation art. J&B collaborated as a three-person team and split the project into eight steps. J&B provided the client with a detailed outline and worked back-and-forth to edit, revise, and polish the client’s final draft. At each stage of the project, the client was highly satisfied with J&B’s consultations. J&B also gathered detailed feedback from the client and worked back-and-forth as a team editing and revising the subsequent drafts of the client’s thesis. Writing Style:As the client is a conceptual artist with an attention to thematic details, J&B worked carefully to help the client creatively express elements of their artist’s statement in their thesis. The client also provided images of their artwork to J&B along with detailed descriptions of their artistic process while creating them, which J&B helped the client develop in their discussion section. Throughout the project, J&B aimed to help the client capture their goals of using expressive language suited to reveal the artistic intentions behind their work.
