We are delighted to announce the eagerly awaited opening of the Harvard International Review Writing Contest, a distinguished opportunity for writers and thinkers to showcase their global perspectives and contribute to the intellectual discourse on international affairs. The next deadline for this journal is on May 31st, 2024. Defense Day for some of the chosen essays takes place on June 29th, 2024. What can I write about? Hosted by the Harvard International Review, this prestigious contest invites participants to explore a myriad of pressing global issues, from geopolitics and economics to culture and technology. Aspiring authors are encouraged to submit essays that delve into the complexities of our interconnected world, offering unique insights and innovative solutions. With a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive dialogue, the competition promises to be a platform for voices from around the globe. For this year the two topics of choice are: Theme A: Inequalities in a VUCA World Theme B: Global Challenges and Collective Actions Further information Articles should be between 800 and 1,200 words long. Submissions should present an analytically backed perspective on an under-appreciated global topic. All submissions will receive a score from the Harvard International Review. Students are eligible if they are in grades nine through twelve globally.
