I worked together with J&B Essay Consulting to produce American University Admission Essay (Common App Essay) and Supplemental Essays, and Class assignment (Psychology) essays during the semester. Q. Reasons for choosing J&B Essay Consulting? And why did you choose us again? With J&B, I prepared university admission essays and the results were surprisingly amazing. I received acceptance letters from the two schools from the list that I really wanted to go (Stanford and University of Chicago). How were the qualities of the essays? In the case of the Common App Essay, I had a direction and idea that I wanted for the essay and received consulting from J&B with a draft that was more or less ready within my standard. J&B helped reforming the direction of the essay and with more suitable ideas, helped adjust the general configuration and colors of the essay exactly the way I wanted. J&B suggested that the idea that I have previously chosen (my struggle to learn English while living in the U.S.) would appear relatively boring and less unique to the admission officers, and after a rather "serious" consultation session, I was able to choose a unique topic that better highlighted myself yet was not too strange or weird in the meanwhile. I enjoyed writing the essay and it became an opportunity of better knowing myself. As a result, I was able to write an essay that I genuinely wanted. Q. Please evaluate how effectively the Client Management Team communicated with you. As I found using KakaoTalk easier than emails, I always communicated with the CMT via Kakao! I am satisfied with the communication. In my case, sharing documents was easier over the emails than Kakao, so I used emails when needing to share the documents. (Probably because emails were used to share documents at the school!) During the phone consultation, I felt bad speaking a lot of Korean while living in the U.S. so I said I preferred using English to communicate. I was happy that the CMT immediately organized for us to communicate in English. I thought one of J&B's big strengths was that the CMT had excellent communication over both in Korean and English. I also learned speaking at the same time thanks to that. (haha) Q. What are you most satisfied about our service? Firstly, the consultants are seriously incredible. Honestly, I was most satisfied that the team consisted of a small number of specialists from each area of focus. I was worried that the personality of the Psychology research methods assignment was different to that of the Admission essay that I previously worked with J&B (though I had certainty from the admission essays, so I knew assignment essay would be okay; but as it was the first time trying assignment essay, I was a little worried to be honest!!) Do you have any suggestion for the future development of J&B Essay Consulting?I don't have anything to suggest as I really have nothing to complain… Essay consultants are super capable (there are a lot of consultants with high academic backgrounds who are 'undervalued' compared to their high ability…). It was very convenient that I could check in details the procedures before and after the consulting through the CMT.
